Born and raised in Tennessee, Susan worked in regional theater (including a role in a national tour of "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe") until her 2000 graduation from Middle Tennesse State University with degree in Speech/Theater. Moving to Los Angeles in 2001, she has written, produced and directed for the Hollywood Fringe Festival and founded a popular local theater review blog. In her day job, she is a paralegal/legal secretary at an entertainment law firm - a career of 22 years and counting. She is also a Notary Public for the state of California and holds a Paralegal Certificate.
She joined ADF in 2015, completed the Dedicant Path in 2017 and is currently enrolled in the Generalists Studies Program. She is a member of Raven's Cry Grove in Los Angeles and currently serves as their Scribe. Previously in ADF, she has served in the voluntary position of Election Officer and is the chief of the American SIG.
She is passionate about serving others and helping those in the South West Region connect to the larger ADF community.
